Yoga mats are preferable as they are non slip. Different types are available. Please ask the teacher for advice before buying. I can offer a discount from a yoga supplier.<\/p>\n<p>If you are a new attendee I have some spare mats available before you decide to buy.<\/p>\n<p>Please bring a blanket for support during various poses and for relaxation.<\/p>\n<p>Blocks and a yoga belt. I have a number of spares available. Regular attendees eventually purchase their own for home practice.<\/p>\n<p>Once you have decided Yoga is for you the following set of equipment is suggested but not essential<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Yoga Mat<\/li>\n<li>Cotton Blanket<\/li>\n<li>Cotton Yoga Belt<\/li>\n<li>4 Standard Blocks<\/li>\n<li>4 Half Blocks<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All the above can be found from various Yoga Suppliers, I recommend Yoga Matters.com (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.yogamatters.com\">www.yogamatters.com<\/a>) If you attend classes then I can provide discounts\u00a0 off the web site prices.<\/p>\n<p><strong>DO<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Practice on an empty stomach<br \/>\nBest time to practice is early morning or later evening<br \/>\nBreath through your nostrils and not your mouth<br \/>\nAvoid Asanas (postures) during the menstrual period)<br \/>\nAfter Asanas always lie down in Savasana (relaxation)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Don&#8217;t<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Practice on a full stomach<br \/>\nPractice asanas after being in the hot sun for several hours<br \/>\nPractice on a bare or uneven floor<br \/>\nHold your breath whilst practising<br \/>\nPractice yoga after three months of pregnancy unless you have been practising Yoga for a few years.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>WHAT TO WEAR Loose clothing suitable for exercise i.e Tee shirts, shorts, leggings etc WHAT WILL I NEED We practice in bare feet so we use a yoga mat or exercise mat.
